Access, Diversity & Inclusion (ADI) Graduate Diversity Fellowship

About the Fellowship Program
The Diversity Fellowship Program is designed for graduate students who seek to build community, and develop mentorship and leadership skills. Diversity Fellows will work closely with the ADI’s leadership team to mentor students in the Graduate Scholars Program, plan community engagement opportunities, and serve as leaders in the Graduate School community.

Learn and execute effective strategies to build and sustain communities of belonging.
Expectations
Attend monthly team meetings (third week in person each month).
Attend all GSP orientation and retreat activities.
Timely submission of proposals, assessments, and reflection logs.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the Diversity Fellows breakdown to the following categories
Mentorship (⅓),
Program Design & Assessment (⅓),
Leadership & Professional Growth (⅓)
As part of the responsibilities, Fellows are required to
Manage a GSP mentoring pod of no more than 15 GSP students.
Collaborate with an ADI campus partner
Co‑lead a program or event with another Diversity Fellow
Participate in ADI’s signature programs and events such as Virtual Workshop Series, Inclusive Academy, P3 Preview, Imagine Princeton Campus Visits, and ADI networking events.
Participate in Leadership retreat prior GSP Retreat.
Complete 2 Mentor‑Training workshops, 2 Program‑Design trainings, 2 Professional‑Development sessions (ADI, McGraw Center, or Graduate School).
Maintain vibrant communication channels (email, social, MyPrincetonU) to publicize opportunities.
December performance conversation with ADI staff; continuance and stipend are contingent on satisfactory progress.
Stipend
Fellows receive a stipend for the nine‑month appointment (August 1 – May 31), disbursed in compliance with Graduate School and IRS policies. Fellows may concurrently hold research or teaching appointments within standard limits.
Qualifications
Current Princeton graduate student who has passed general exams and is in good academic standing.
Resides in/near Princeton; able to fulfill on‑site duties.
No more than three total years of service as a Fellow.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence and strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Students on F‑1/J‑1 visas should consult the Davis International Center regarding on‑campus work eligibility.

Submit the online Diversity Fellowship application by June 9th, 2025. Required uploads include:
250‑word mentoring philosophy grounded in scholarly literature.
250‑word program idea addressing an identified need in the graduate community.
CV and contact details for one faculty or professional reference.
